Integrated development plan for sustainable tourism at Harishankar-Nrusinghnath temples presented

Bhubaneswar: A presentation was made today before Prime Minister Navin Patnaik on an integrated development plan for sustainable tourism at Harishankar and Nrusinghnath temples in Gandhamardan district.

The project aims to improve the experience of pilgrims and visitors to the twin temples Harishankar and Nrusinghnath in the Gandhamardan Hills. The entire temple area will be developed with a focus on religious and cultural traditions, natural ecosystem and adventure tourism.

The master plan of the project includes the connection with the upper gradient of the motorway and parking, the upper gradient of the sales area, religious street, cultural plaza, visitor facilities with the center of cultural traditions and herbal center, public park and plaza with picnic area, children’s play area and amphitheater and gradation of temple facilities with beautification and lighting and restoration of the Dharmasala and Bhoga Mandap and the kitchen.

There is also an 18-kilometre proposal for a hillside walk with active places such as benches, information signs, toilets, cafes and watchtowers.
